Steps

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, add all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to remove any lumps.

Step 3

Add vegetable oil, plant milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix gently until a smooth batter forms. Do not overmix.

Step 4

Fold in vegan chocolate chips or chopped nuts if using.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
